Guinea pig 
Guinea pig is a rodent of the family and class Caviidae Cavia. There are a total of nine species, but is best known C. porcellus, guinea pig simple.

History 
In English, known as a guinea pig or cavy, the animal comes from an ancestor Cavia Cutler, who still resides in South America.

Time of their arrival on European soil is not reliable, probably they were later imported English sailors. Today, guinea pigs are one of the most popular children's pets around the world.


The Incas kept guinea pigs are more or less as pets (specifically, to eat) long before the Europeans arrived. Conquest in the sixteenth century. Spanish conquistadors found them so feel free to run around people's houses and took to Europe, but guinea pigs are still kept its role as food.

Types

The best known are: English guinea pig (with short and glossy hair), Paraguay (with long hair) and Argentine guinea pig (with a short rough coat).

Food

Propagation
