Siamese cat

Siamese cat is very old breed of domestic cat, known for characteristic monochromatic light coat with a darker color features (pointed).

Origin

Siamese cat is originally from the area of Siam, modern Thailand. This breed is worshiped in the temples of Buddhist priests, and was present in the court of Siamese king.

It is assumed that it was born more than 500 years, Europe has arrived in the second half of the 19th century. Siamese cat is the first oriental breed that has been around since the early 20 century has become very popular both in Europe and in America.


Characteristics

Siamese cats have a specific solid color coat marked with dark legs, tail and head. They have a very elegant body on a thin, tall legs, and elongated head.

In recent years developing in the direction of extreme emphasis on elongated body and legs and increasing the eyes and ears. This will vary greatly from early copies of Siamese cats, which are called traditional type.

Problem with eyes that in the past considered common feature, is now considered a shortcoming.

Siamese cats are by nature active, energetic, social, curious, demanding and very 'talkative'. They have rather long lifetime.

Are accepted and some paint a pet, with features. New colors and tobi (tabby) pattern adopted in recent times.
